Clothing Donation to NICU at Riverside Hospital

In 1987, the Officers and Directors of the Bionetics Corporation created a Charitable Trust. The intention was to support IRS qualified charitable organizations that are deemed appropriate by the Charitable Trust Committee as well as support educational, charitable, literary or scientific organizations.

Each year, The Bionetics Corporation distributes tens of thousands of dollars to a number of organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Make a Wish Foundation, Feed America, Operation Smile, Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughter’s, Boys and Girls Club of America, Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program, Hole in the Wall Camps, American Diabetes Association, The American Red Cross, Fisher House, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Foodbank, just to name a few. The Corporation prefers to support organizations where employees, their families and project location communities have a direct involvement.

Each year, the Bionetics Corporate office supports a family or an organization during the Christmas Holiday. In 2015, we once again chose to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Riverside Hospital. The NICU is for babies who require more critical care services like premature babies who need months of care, as well as newborns who just need a couple days of extra attention.

Bionetics CEO, Charles Stern volunteers at the neonatal intensive care unit every Sunday and has recognized a significant need for numerous under privileged families. Some families have very little and the nurses will, at times, use their own personal funds to assist these families.

Bionetics corporate employees, along with the Charitable Trust, generously donated clothing and made monetary donation in which was used to purchase preemie sized outfits.
